Privacy Policy

Cinetal is a film financing and project management platform designed for producers and production teams. This Privacy Policy explains how Cinetal collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use www.cinetal.com and the Cinetal web application.

Last Updated: March 25, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Cinetal collects information that is necessary to operate a professional software platform for film producers and project teams. This includes account information such as your name, email address, company or production details you choose to provide, project records, financing pipeline data, submissions, uploaded documents, and activity within the application.

When you sign in with Google OAuth, we access only the basic profile information required to authenticate your account and create your workspace, specifically your name, email address, and associated Google account identifier. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, calendar, or any other Google data beyond basic identity information.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide, secure, maintain, and improve Cinetal. This includes authenticating users, creating and administering accounts, storing project and financing records, delivering platform features, generating analytics and recommendations within the product, responding to support requests, and communicating important service updates.

We also use limited operational data to monitor uptime, investigate bugs, prevent misuse, and protect the integrity of the platform. We do not use your project data to advertise to you or to build unrelated consumer marketing profiles.

3. Sharing With Third Parties

Cinetal does not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate the platform, such as cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, error monitoring, storage, and communications providers, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, security, and operation of Cinetal, our users, or the public. If Cinetal is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

4. Google OAuth and Account Authentication

Cinetal uses Google OAuth as one of its authentication methods. Google authentication is used solely to verify identity and allow secure sign-in to the application. We do not use Google OAuth to access documents, messages, contacts, or other data in your Google account.

If you use Google sign-in, the information we receive is limited to basic profile information, including your name and email address. That information is used only to create and manage your Cinetal account and to support secure access to the service.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cinetal uses cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, maintain session security, remember basic preferences, and support core product functionality. Some cookies are essential for authentication and cannot be disabled without affecting your ability to use the application.

We may also use limited diagnostic and performance technologies to understand service reliability and investigate errors. Cinetal does not use cookies for third-party behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the operational needs of the platform.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information and project data. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but we design Cinetal to limit unauthorized access and to support secure handling of professional production information.

7. User Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate business requirements. You may also request that we update inaccurate account information or close your account.

If you are using Cinetal on behalf of a production company, studio, or other organization, certain requests may need to be coordinated through the account owner or team administrator. To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below.

8. International Use

Cinetal is a web-based SaaS platform used by film professionals who may operate across multiple countries and jurisdictions. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to reasonable safeguards and contractual protections where applicable.
